Despite embarking on their first-ever European adventure, Crystal Palace are adapting at a rapid pace. Missing key players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a comfortable win that virtually guarantees them a place in the Conference League playoffs.

Another three points in their next match against Finnish KuPS should be enough to seal direct entry to the knockout stages, especially after a previous stumble against Strasbourg.

Squad Members Seize the Moment

This occasion offered a platform for some of Palace's fringe players to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second start after joining on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a clinical finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, finding the net for the second game in succession.

A Shelbourne side that had concluded their league season were outmatched even for a largely second-string Palace outfit. The Londoners were already weakened by the reports that Mateta and Muñoz are sidelined with leg injuries.
