Approximately 25,000 households in southeastern Queensland were left experiencing outages on the start of the week after powerful weather events impacted the area, producing strong winds hitting 109 kilometers per hour.

Tuesday was expected to become the wettest day, with ongoing storm activity expected across different parts of both states.
